Since it is LED back lit LCD the screen is amazingly thin and light. The contrast ratio is amazing. It plays smooth and with beautiful clarity and color. Anyway during on-line game play on Mw2 and Halo3 and the new Halo Reach Beta, I noticed no ghosting whatsoever.
The pictures must have been taken where there was some burgundy color reflecting off of this chrome. The entire frame bezel is a nice piano black with a small, tasteful chrome strip along the very bottom. Buy one for yourself and you will too.The monitor shipped in a plain box because it was refurbished but it was packed very well and arrived without a scratch or anything wrong with it. I Love this setup of beautiful sight and sound.
New Egg had this same monitor for over $100 more (Not refurbished of course.) so I think this was a great bargain. I do notice that I have a good range of settings even using the generic driver so they're probably correct. The two support people I talked to both said the PnP driver is all you need.
It is fully functional, no screen issues, no operational issues.The only issue is that it is definitely NOT a Manufacturer refurb, or remanufacture, or open box item. Not what I expected but ***, or about *** less than best new price.Operationally, it is very good. The plastic was not clean and shiny and it has minor scratches. Warranty may be non-existent as there was minimal documentation and no warranty info.
Full HD at this screen size is definitely excellent. Still 16x10 would be better for applications such as browsers, Word, Excell, etc. Love the wide screen for multitasking and height is good. Picture is bright and sharp.
Now if it lasts as long as the Samsung - which is still going but slow to brighten fully, I will be happy.1 star deduction based on expectation of "refurb" and not product.
